Document search & retrieval
DocWizard™ simplifies and speeds retrievals by personalizing searches, so users access what they need to see quickly. By providing users single-click access to their information, document retrieval simply becomes a familiar experience like browsing web pages. Power users are granted higher rights so they can perform complex searches using the same application. Once a search is carried out and a group of related documents are found, DocWizard™ presents the users with the results in a manner they are most familiar with, using customer-specific terminology.
View
Thin client java viewer (less than 100K download); supports annotation on ../frontEnd/images and viewing of 100+ different formats. Using file compression capabilities DocWizard™ can speed up the retrievals for the dial-up connections. Customers can choose and configure different viewer types for each group. Also, customers can customize functions available through the viewer (document editing, deletion, annotations, emailing, publishing, etc.) for each group.
Bookmarks and Quicklinks
For users needing quick access to specific pages within documents, DocWizard™ provides "bookmarking" features. Also, users can create "quicklinks" for the most ../frontEnd/commonly used searches. Quicklinks can be assigned to groups and have expiration dates associated with them.
Electronic Folders
Users can create "logical" folders for related documents (loan packages, cases, customer & partners, etc.). Link efolder properties to external databases or systems of records (legacy, CRM, ERP). Use folder "templates" to manage what information would needs to be included and tracked as part of this type of eFolder- i.e., external data, document types, document checklist, workflows, milestones). Access to an eFolder can be setup so different groups would be able to view and work with different sections/documents within the eFolder.
Folder Checklist
Similar to paper-based folders, customers may want to creat checklists for their electronic folders. The checklist outlines all the documents that are required and need to be in the eFolder/package. DocWizard™ tracks which documents have been submitted, and which ones have been reviewed and approved. Checklist become critical as customers introduce workflow and would like to be able to route documents and electronic folders for review and approval.

Collaborate
Document-level : In addition to adding markup/annotations to ../frontEnd/images, users can add Notes to pages within electronic documents (of different formats, e.g., PDF, MS-Office, TIFF, etc.) . Notes can be marked "Public", "Private" (only I can see them) or work-in-progress (same security as the document itself).
Folder-level : Users can add/view comments and notes at the folder level to reflect ad-hoc information that is related to the entire folder as opposed to individual documents within the folder. If a folder represents a project/case, users can communicate the latest status information internally by simply adding new notes. External status reporting is done via "milestones". Users can search the folder comments as well as turn on/off auditing of folder-level comments.
Workflows : DocWizard™ provides a comprehensive set of out-of-the-box workflow functionality for review and approval (or pending) of electronic folders and documents. This includes "parallel routing" (splits and merges) as well as "milestone" reporting of completed events. Workflow design and administration is as easy as using Microsoft project and Microsoft Excel. Users will interact with the workflow system through an electonic in-basket that is fully integrated and seamless with other parts of the DocWizard™ application.

Version Control
Customers using FileNet imaging services can Check-out/check-in documents using the same repository. DocWizard™ provides version control capabilities including checking in or out multiple documents at the same time. It also maintains revision history information. External groups will only view the "published" versions of the document as opposed to the work-in-progress versions.
Publish
You can add any viewable file to the library form other applications using a virtual printer. Convert and store content (from any desktop application) to PDF or TIFF format and store it in the FileNet library. This is a very low cost but effective way of managing all the related information in one place. Alternatively, docWizard provides a "related info" button to allow easy retrieval of related information from other systems (legacy applications, CRM, ERP, GIS, web-services).
Copy (groups of documents)
Users can perform custom searches and copy the result sets (all or some of the documents) at once to their local PC or a remote file server. This is especially useful for remote/mobil clients that need access to a group of related documents occasionally.
WebCapture (optional)
Simply use a standard web-browser at remote offices and locations to add a group of related documents at once using web capture. WebCapture is a collection of applications for display, assembly, verification, indexing and committal of documents to the FileNet system over the web. It includes a comprehensive set of auditing and reporting capabilties.
Print and Fax
Print a group of related documents of any format as one job (without having to view them first). Print pages/ranges within documents without having to open each document. Use the fax directory for quick access to more frequently used telephone numbers.
History and reports
View a history of recent activities related to a document or electronic folder. Review reports for incoming scanned, email, faxed documents.
