Conversions from one document management system to another

Although, similar in concept and functionality, each document management vendor's system is uniquely designed and somewhat proprietary. As such, having experience with both the "Source" and "Destination" systems are critical to the success of the conversion projects.  Our conversion services allows customer to migrate from any source to any destination system. This includes migrating both media (optical, tape, etc.) and database information to a new environment. For customers migrating to FileNet, we offer implementation services as well.

Softech has been doing systems conversions since the early 90s. We have a complete portfolio of conversion tools and utilities that make it possible to do the conversion projects in less time. We have developed and perfected our tools and methodology in the course of doing hundreds of successful conversion projects across the world.  Our successful conversion vendor list includes more than 30 imaging vendors (past and present) as well as many homegrown proprietary systems.

For customers that are transitioning to a FileNet platform and are interested in porting an existing document management application, Softech offers Application Migration Services.  As part of this service, Softech consultants will conduct an initial application review. We will present the customer with a number of alternatives and outline any associated benefits and potential risks.  We will outline a roadmap that will take into consideration customer's short and long-term requirements. Softech consultants are committed to making your migration a success and we will work with the customer to assure a successful migration of both your platform as well as any custom applications you may have.

Softech offers turnkey application migration services on a fixed-bid basis. Alternatively, customers may opt to take a blended team approach- having Softech consultants and in-house team working together.
